Military industry

Considering its high diversity, military industry finds application for nearly any kind of alloy or metal. The most popular alloys are those including nickel, titanium, iron, cobalt, aluminum, molybdenum, tungsten and magnesium.

Nickel with its alloys, as a result of their elevated strength in extreme temperatures, corrosion resistance and low thermal expansion coefficient, are utilized as a building material for jet engines, nuclear submarines and missiles.

The most popular titanium alloys are the ones with addition of aluminum and vanadium. Good machinability of titanium makes it a popular material for armor and structural elements exposed to high tensions.

Tungsten is one of the materials used in production of firearm ammunition, grenades or ballistic missiles due to its high melting point and high density. As a result of tungsten’s resistance to vibrations, it is commonly used for balancing of rotor elements in helicopter engines.

We stock products certified for various applications, including those for aviation industry (AMS), military (MIL) and high-pressure purposes (ASME).
