ULTRALIGHT HIGH TENSILE FASTENERS
Our ultra-light fasteners made of 5083 and 7075 aluminum alloys are characterized by the fragmentation of the metal structure to the nanometric scale. As a result, these products have increased tensile strength, higher yield strength and improved fatigue properties. All these improved parameters are distinctly desired in fasteners.
Thanks to the special process of metal strengthening through hydrostatic extrusion, we expand the possibilities of using light metals, such as aluminum, in applications requiring the transfer of heavy loads and increased operational efficiency. It applies in particular to the 5083 alloy, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance in the sea water environment but due to relatively low mechanical properties fasteners from this particular alloy have not been widely used. Thanks to the fine fragmentation of the microstructure, the strength of aluminum alloys is significantly increased.
